Information we collect
We may receive information in three main ways:
- Newsletter signup: your email address and any other information you choose to enter in the EmailOctopus signup form.
- Direct contact: information you include when you email contact@quietpathcommunity.com, including your email address and message.
- Basic technical information: hosting, email, and font providers may receive information such as an IP address, browser type, device information, request time, and pages or email links accessed as part of operating their services.
Emailing Quiet Path does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter. Newsletter consent is collected separately through the signup form.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Send the emails you requested and manage newsletter preferences
- Deliver the free mindfulness guide and occasional Quiet Path notes
- Respond to questions, accessibility requests, and spiritual-guidance inquiries
- Maintain the security and basic operation of the website and email service
- Understand whether emails are being delivered and whether shared links are useful
- Meet legal obligations and protect the safety and rights of people involved
Quiet Path does not currently use its own advertising network or behavioral advertising service.
Services that help us operate
Quiet Path uses service providers to operate the website and newsletter. These currently include ChatGPT Sites for website hosting, EmailOctopus for newsletter signup and email delivery, and Google Fonts for web typography. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or security, or to protect someone from serious harm. We do not sell or rent the newsletter list.
Your choices and how long information is kept
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can use it at any time. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by emailing contact@quietpathcommunity.com.
Newsletter information is kept while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for suppression records, security, legal obligations, or resolving a request. Direct messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, keep minimal operational records, or meet legal and safety obligations.
Security and sensitive information
We use reasonable care and reputable service providers, but no online service or email system can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send highly sensitive medical, financial, legal, or crisis information through the newsletter form or ordinary email.
Spiritual-guidance communications are handled with care and discretion, subject to the legal and safety limits described by Quiet Path. They are not clinical records and are kept as limited as practical.
External links and children
Quiet Path pages may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are outside our control, so review their policies before sharing personal information.
Quiet Path is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy as the community or its service providers change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Material changes will be explained here or through an appropriate community notice.
